Open Studios
Free movement sessions for and by freelance dance artists. Leaders have the freedom to experiment with creative ideas, new methodologies, and choreogrphic concepts, while participants gain a unique workshop where they can practice their craft and meet their community without having to pay for it. “Open Studios” lunched in January 2023 and quickly became the company’s flagship project, they have been a joy to run, and we are super proud of the space we created.
Open Studios 2024 are supported by a Brooklyn Arts Council Grant awarded by the Greater New York Arts Development Fund of the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA).
Show & Tell
An opportunity to share and watch works in progress in a casual studio environment. The first “Show and Tell” took place on February 26th, 2024, and our goal is to have one every two to three months. Artists share up to 10 minutes of new work and we end with a communal feedback session. The goal is to strengthen the artistic community by creating a space for sharing, feedback, and collaboration in a supportive environment where artists can thrive. Guests and friends are invited too.
